New for the 2008 Summer Season, we are pleased to offer an exciting new location for our renowned College Admission Prep Camp® – the Club Med Sandpiper Resort in Port St. Lucie, Florida. CAPC Resort at Club Med combines a luxury resort vacation with Education Unlimited’s comprehensive College Admission Prep Camp. Throughout the course of this 14-day program, students will take advantage of the many amenities and activities provided at the Sandpiper Resort while completing our exclusive college admissions curriculum (featuring SAT Prep, College Counseling and Personal Statement instruction).

The program may be combined with our East Coast College Tour to round out the college admissions preparation with tours of 10 East Coast colleges.

The Club Med Sandpiper Resort Between Miami and Orlando, on the East coast of Florida, the Village of Sandpiper stretches along the St Lucie river and its lush greenery. In Florida, where the competitive spirit comes naturally, the pleasure of sport is clear. Education Unlimited students will be able to participate in a wide array of sports and other activities, including Circus School (flying trapeze, trampoline, juggling), beach volleyball, sailing, golf, in-line skating, tennis and more. Resort facilities include five swimming pools, a skate park with a half-pipe, waterskiing and wakeboarding courses, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, a video arcade, private beaches and gardens. Gourmet dining and resort accommodations are, of course, included in the program tuition.

CAPC Curriculum During the program, students will complete our exclusive College Admission Prep Camp curriculum, including:

SAT Preparation Our experienced instructors employ the exclusive Test Scholars SAT curriculum, which familiarizes students with all aspects of the new SAT exam. Our focus is to provide students with test- taking strategies and reasoning skills, rather than training students to rely primarily on tricks. Test Scholars students have historically scored average increases of nearly 170 points!

Personal Statement Writing Instruction is all too elusive at most high schools. College Admission Prep Camp offers every student hours of one-on-one consulting with expert writing instructors. By the end of the program, each student will have written about a meaningful personal topic that is appropriate for submission with their college application. The ultimate goal of CAPC’s writing program is to give students the skills to write with greater effect, not only on their college admission essay, but also on everything they write!

College Counselors identify excellent colleges that are appropriate for each student’s interests and academic background. In addition, the counselors teach students how to prepare their applications to match the expectations of college admission officers, including help with the finer points of style and phrasing. CAPC counselors help students pinpoint top quality schools that are best suited to their particular needs and interests. Students leave CAPC program with a list of potential schools that have been reviewed and discussed individually with a CAPC counselor.

Faculty & Supervision Education Unlimited faculty will stay at the Sandpiper to ensure that all students are supported and supervised. As always, our student to teacher ratios will remain small and students will work with experienced and inspiring teachers.
