Students choosing this option will meet the tour on the first day in Boston and end their trip in Washington, D.C.

When choosing the option to do the tour without the group flight students should plan to arrive in Boston as close to 5 pm as possible (as that is the approximate time of when our West Coast group flight is supposed to arrive). For those going on the tour who would have to fly into the Bay Area from another location to make the group flight, we generally recommend that you fly directly into Boston as this saves an overnight stay in the Bay Area and can be significantly less expensive overall. However, some families want to be on the group flight and are willing to fly into the Bay Area the evening before to facilitate that, and we are happy to work with you on making arrangements for you to come in early and stay over if that is your preference.

For those making their own travel arrangements, out of Washington DC at the end of the trip we can only promise to drop students at Reagan/Washington National airport at around 4:30 pm (or a bit earlier as feasbile) and may not be visiting other airports. By roughly two weeks in advance of the start of the trip we will be able to let you know if we can provide transport to BWI or Dulles (once we know where our group flight is leaving from). By far the easiest thing to do if making your own travel is to fly out of Reagan/Washington National.
