Nancy Knop
Nancy Knop, Stanford Sally Ride Science Camp Director and Curriculum Consultant
Dr. Nancy Knop taught science in grades 7-12 for 23 years at the Head-Royce School in Oakland, CA, serving as Science Department Chair for five of those years. She holds a certificate in Educational Therapy and currently works with individual students at Professional Therapy Services and the Appalachian Reading Center in Charleston, WV. In July of 2007, Nancy was the director of the Stanford Sally Ride Science camp for girls going into 8th and 9th grade, where she greatly enjoyed the opportunity to work with energetic, focused students and teachers. She continues a long-held interest in the brain research on learning, presenting recent scientific findings in presentations to students, parents, educators, and at state and national conferences - most recently at the Learning and the Brain Conferences in Boston and San Francisco.
