Melissa Steinman
Melissa Steinman, Marine Science Instructor
Melissa Steinman graduated with a degree in Oceanography: Marine and Environmental Science from Florida Institute of Technology. During her time at Florida Tech she was asked to assist in several science education programs. She and her research partner developed a curriculum to encourage young girl's interests in science and engineering. These volunteer efforts lead her to co-found A-B-Sea Foundation Inc. which provides marine science education for students and teaching resources for teachers in geographically or culturally isolated populations. She has volunteered with Sally Ride Science and returns as a marine science instructor this summer.
