Amanda Krupman, MFA — Instructor

Amanda Krupman is a writer in Brooklyn, NY. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Bloom; A Clean, Well-Lighted Place; The Cleveland Review; Punk Planet; Time Out New York; and xoJane. Her literary zine, PLUG, was featured in Columbia College Chicago's "A to Zine" exhibition in 2003.

Amanda received an MFA from the Graduate Writing Program at the New School in 2011. She has over 15 years of professional writing and editing experience for a wide array of publishers and nonprofit organizations and has been a writing mentor with the organization Girls Write Now for three years. 

A retired performer, she has appeared in theaters, nightclubs, and festivals in Cleveland, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York. As an activist, she has led creative projects including anti-violence peer-to-peer theater workshops for Chicago-area high-school students, and creative-nonfiction workshops concerning writing for social justice.
