Matthew Fraser: CEO & Executive Director

Matthew Fraser and several college friends founded Education Unlimited in 1993 with the vision of teaching students critical thinking skills in a fun learning environment. During his tenure as Executive Director Education Unlimited has grown from a single program with 34 students in its first year to roughly 50 sessions of camp on about a dozen college campuses, with nearly 2,000 students attending each summer some twenty years later!


Nermin Kamel, MA: Director of Admissions

As a former high school principal, Nermin brings a wealth of experience in education. Her years as a teacher and school administrator have helped her to hone a deep understanding of the needs of students, teachers, and staff. In addition, to her Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Nermin holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Political Science and English as well as a minor in Business Administration.   She began her career in education as an English and speech/debate teacher and spent 15 years as Vice-President of the California High School Speech Association. In this role, she directed the California State Speech and Debate Championships for over 2,000 students and coaches from across the state each year. With her dedication to education and her passion for nurturing young talent, Nermin is a valuable member of our Education Unlimited and Camp Brainy Bunch teams.

Jenny Herbert, MBA: CFO 

After directing at Education Unlimited summer programs for many years, Jenny joined Education Unlimited's management team in 2003. Her primary responsibilities are to manage the business and financial operations of the company. Jenny earned her MBA with honors from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and is an honors graduate of Stanford University, where she received the Deans’ Award for Academic Accomplishment. Jenny’s academic research, focusing on children’s attitudes about reading and math, has been published in the Journal of Applied Developmental Psychology and presented at the meetings of the American Educational Research Association and the National Science Teachers Association.
