Education Unlimited’s Public Speaking Institute is the nation’s leading noncompetitive public speaking summer program for kids and teens. For more than 30 years, we have been helping students in elementary through high school become more effective communicators through instruction, practice, and individualized feedback. Through an innovative curriculum combining public speaking, debate, logic, and rhetoric, students sharpen their communication skills, practice thinking on their feet, and learn how to deliver compelling speeches.

Rising 4th through 6th graders receive an introduction to public speaking in an engaging environment designed to make speaking in front of others approachable. In this public speaking camp, students entering grades 6 through 6 explore persuasive communication and debate while becoming more comfortable presenting ideas to peers and larger groups. In the highest level of our public speaking summer camps, high school students receive advanced instruction in public speaking, logic, rhetoric, debate, and persuasive and informative speaking. Public speaking education is a core part of Education Unlimited’s academic program. The company was founded by speech and debate coaches more than three decades ago, and our current faculty are esteemed professionals in the field. Unlike competition-focused speech and debate camps, our public speaking program provides a supportive, noncompetitive setting where the primary goal is individual skill development. Students are encouraged to experiment with new techniques, receive feedback, and apply what they learn.
Does my child need previous public speaking experience?
No previous speech or debate experience is required. Education Unlimited’s public speaking programs are designed to help beginner and intermediate students develop their skills through instruction and repeated practice in a noncompetitive environment. We also offer competitive speech programs for students with previous experience.
