Education Unlimited - Web Design

Education Unlimited's Web Design series introduces and familiarizes campers with the process of creating and scheming interactive websites and applications. By using tools including HTML, CSS, and Javascript, campers will learn the mechanics of webpage layouts, content production, and elements of graphic design. 

Web Design - CSS & HTML 

This is an introductory course to the fundamentals of web development using HTML and CSS to structure and design a webpage. HTML and CSS are core languages in the content creation of webpages and web applications.  Through this course the students will be introduced to the syntax, organization and abilities of both HTML and CSS.Students will learn the technical skills of structuring a HTML document with the compatible styling capabilitiesof CSS.  Through hands-on demos and instruction students will be building and designing a webpage, and learn skills that will be the foundation to a self-sufficient and knowledgeable coder.

Web Design 2- Javascript

This camp assumes prior knowledge of HTML and CSS and is an introductory course to web programming and JavaScript. This class combines the tactical skills needed to structure webpages with the dynamic and animating ability of JavaScript. Allowing students to make more complex and visually engaging client-side web applications. Through projects and tutorials students are introduced to the properties of JavaScript, and gain a strong foundational understanding of web programming. Students will become acquainted with the multitude of JavaScript libraries, the syntactical structuring of the language as well as outputs to combine and apply their knowledge of HTML and CSS. This course will also teach students to organize, problem solve and utilize coding references to further style and develop their webpages, even after they graduate from this course.

Alix Feinsod is an experienced teacher and software engineer with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science from University of California Santa Cruz.  During her time as a professional software engineer she worked as a developer in Java, Python, C and a variety of other programming languages.
