Education Unlimited believes in small-group, immersive learning with subject matter experts and experienced teachers. We strive to provide industry-leading instruction to all of our students and hold all staff to the highest possible standards. Staff assignments vary by program and location. Claire Lee, MFA - Writing Instructor 

Claire Lee holds a Master of Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, specializing in Literacy and Diversity. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in English, from Wellesley College, graduating Magna cum laude. 

Claire's teaching journey began as an English Language Fellow sponsored by the U.S. State Department providing professional development to Japanese teachers of English. Her commitment to education led her to be awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, where she taught Grade 8 English First Additional Language at Mayville Secondary School in South Africa.  During her tenure as a teacher she has taught writing to students from middle school and high school to university students and PhD candidates.  She is committed to empowering learners, creating inclusive environments, and utilizing technology to enhance educational practices. 

Patrick McHugh, MFA - Writing Instructor

Patrick McHugh is a native Arizonan with a background in English literature, creative writing, and critical theory. He is a graduate of Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College with a degree in English literature. Patrick received his Master's degree in English literature from the University at Buffalo. Experienced in a wide variety of classroom settings, Patrick initially taught at SIAS International University in Henan, China before returning to Arizona. While in the states he has worked with EU as an Assistant Director, A+ Middle School English teacher, and taught creative writing at the Emerging Writers Institute for both middle school and high school students. He previously taught 6th grade English for BASIS Phoenix. Currently, Patrick is serving as an adjunct faculty in the English department at Grand Canyon University, with a focus on English Composition courses for freshman students. He is passionate about guiding each student using their own voices and talents, fostering unique reading and writing skills as well as empowering critical thinking. On a personal level, Patrick is a devoted music lover and performs as a clarinet player, drummer, and electronic composer. He also indulges his interests in contemporary art and 21st-century literature.   

Daniela Chavez - Instructor, MFA

Daniela Chavez is a fiction writer and university lecturer based in Los Angeles. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing and English from the University of California, Irvine, where she also teaches writing.

Daniela brings over ten years of teaching experience, beginning with Teach For America in Western Massachusetts, where she taught 6th grade, and continuing at multiple colleges and universities throughout the Los Angeles area. She is passionate about helping students find their voice, build confidence, and strengthen their writing skills.

She joined the Education Unlimited team in 2022, and she is excited to work with your students.

Piper Pugh - Instructor, MA

Piper Pugh is an incoming MFA candidate at New York University, a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California, and holds a Master of Science in Education in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. In 2022, she presented at the preeminent Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) on developing literacy practices and community in virtual learning environments.

With over 10 years of experience as an educator, Piper has worked across K–12 schools, universities, educational nonprofits, and in one-on-one tutoring settings. She specializes in English and writing instruction, supporting students from early literacy through graduate-level coursework.

At USC, Piper double majored in English and NGO Management, graduating summa cum laude.
