Robert received his Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies in 2012 and recently completed his course work for his Master's Degree in Communication Studies. While at CSUN, he was also a teaching associate covering the fundamentals of public speaking and argumentation courses. Robert was also the assistant debate coach for the Matador Speech and Debate team, specializing in policy, Lincoln Douglas, and public forum debate. This past semester, Robert was the recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Teaching Associate Award, 2014 Dean's Recognition - Outstanding Graduate Student Award, and the 2014 Richard B. As a scholar, his interests lie within the field of postmodern rhetoric, intercultural communication studies and most recently, performance studies.

Robert has been coaching and competing in forensics for 8 years at the high school and collegiate level. As an undergraduate, he competed for 4 years as a Matador in the events of policy debate, parliamentary debate, impromptu speaking and extemporaneous speaking. He values learning and competitive success, but also likes to having fun in the process. Robert taught at four Education Unlimited camps last year and is excited to teach at four more camps this year, covering public speaking and argumentation. In his spare time, Robert enjoys going to various baseball stadiums (Dodger Stadium is so far the best), watching MMA/UFC fighting events, visiting Disneyland/California Adventure and eating at new food truck venues.
